Who we are

"Unfollowers PRO", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the operator of the Unfollowers PRO browser extension and of this website, based in Bosnia & Herzegovina. You can reach us at support@unfollowerspro.com.

"Service" means the Unfollowers PRO browser extension together with this website.

What the extension does with your data

When you click Scan on an Instagram profile, the extension asks Instagram for that profile's follower and following lists using the session you are already logged into in your own browser. It then compares that scan with the previous one and stores the result locally.

The data it stores on your device includes:

• the usernames and display names of the accounts in the scanned profile's follower and following lists;
• the handle of the scanned profile and the date and time of each scan;
• the accounts that stopped following, or that you stopped following, together with the date each change was first noticed.

All of it lives in your browser's IndexedDB storage, under your browser profile, on the device that ran the scan. It is not uploaded, synced, backed up or shared. We have no copy of it and no way to obtain one.

What we do not do

• We do not ask for your Instagram password. You never enter Instagram credentials into the extension or this website — the extension works within the session Instagram itself established in your browser.
• We do not operate an account system. The current version of the extension has no sign-up, no login and no user profile.
• We do not run analytics or advertising on this website, and we set no tracking cookies. The extension contains no analytics either.
• We do not sell, rent or share personal data, because we do not collect it.

Permissions the extension asks for

• Access to instagram.com — required to read the follower and following lists of the profile you choose to scan.
• Storage — required to keep your scan results on your own device between sessions.
• Active tab — required so the extension knows which profile is open when you click Scan.

The extension requests no permission to read data on other websites.

This website

This website is a set of static pages. It has no forms, no accounts and no login. It sets no cookies and embeds no third-party trackers.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard server request information (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. That processing is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Third parties

Two third parties are unavoidably involved when you use the Service, and each has its own privacy policy:

• Instagram (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — the extension reads data from Instagram on your behalf, within your own logged-in session. Your relationship with Instagram is governed by Instagram's terms and privacy policy. Unfollowers PRO is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram or Meta.
• The Chrome Web Store (Google LLC) — distributes the extension and gives us anonymous, aggregated statistics such as install counts and ratings. We cannot identify individual users from them.

How to delete your data

Because everything stays on your device, you are in complete control of it:

• Delete a single scanned profile from the extension's dashboard.
• Uninstall the extension — your browser removes its storage along with it.
• Or clear site data for the extension through your browser's settings.

There is no request to send us and no account to close.

Earlier versions of Unfollowers PRO

Before the current release, Unfollowers PRO ran as a web application at unfollowerspro.com with user accounts, email sign-up and a paid plan. If you registered in that era and want any remaining personal data associated with your former account erased, email support@unfollowerspro.com and we will action it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, data protection law (including the GDPR) gives you rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over personal data a company holds about you. We hold none through the current Service, so there is generally nothing for us to produce or erase — but if you believe we hold something about you, write to us and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Keeping your data on your own device removes the largest risk that tools like this normally carry: there is no central database of follower lists to breach. The security of the data that remains therefore depends on the security of your own device and browser profile. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and it takes effect when posted. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, we will make that clear on the site.
